When are classes held?
Classes will be held Tuesdays on Zoom with a day or evening option. Classes will be recorded, so you can catch up if you miss; however you cannot miss more than two live classes.
We offer two courses per year. The first starts in September. The second starts in February. Each course lasts 14 weeks.
What times during the day are the classes held and do I have to commit to one specific time?
Because we have people apply from all over the world, we offer two time slots for live classes – one during the afternoon and one during the evening. You will have the flexibility of choosing either time every week and do not have to commit. We will adjust the times for each course depending on overall group preference.
How long are classes?
Each class will be 1.5-2 hours, led by Dr. Rebecca Kempton, M.D. She will also be available for questions.
If I have to miss a class, can I get a recording?
Yes! We will record every class. But no more than two live classes can be missed. We are committed to training the very best sleep consultants in the industry and believe that being actively engaged in live discussions is how you learn best.
Can I do the training and start my business while I have another job?
Definitely! Many students work at another job during training while they grow their business. That’s the beauty of being a sleep consultant: you can do it on your own time when you want to!
What does the training cost?
The total cost of training is $5,200. This includes: four months of weekly live training sessions; one full year of mentorship; continued education, AND lifetime membership in our Sleep Pro Academy private members only support group. We offer two payment plans (details upon request). A $400 deposit required upon acceptance into the program secures your spot.
How many people do you accept per class?
Each class is limited to 8-12 students. We believe that small class sizes are more effective in training top-notch sleep consultants. To ensure productive interaction and discussion, we are unable to accommodate all applicants; however, we will maintain a waiting list that will roll over to the next class.
Do I need any prior experience or special degrees?
No prior experience or special degrees necessary! We seek applicants with a passion for learning and helping families and with an entrepreneurial mindset to start and grow a business.
During the program, is there on-going support and guidance?
Yes! Loads of it. Dr. Kempton will personally mentor you for a full year from the start of the program. You will also be a member of a supportive members only group to ask questions, learn the latest sleep science, share resources and clients. We also offer continued education courses for a year, included in the cost of tuition.
How much time per week will I spend on course work?
This is a rigorous program, graduating the most informed and successful sleep consultants. We estimate the time spent per week on live classes, readings, lectures, and assignments ranges from 10-20 hours/week.
What happens after I graduate? Will I receive continued mentoring?
Once you graduate, you will have a lifetime membership to the Sleep Pro Academy community with access to continued education, mentoring, and support! Dr. Kempton will also personally mentor you for one full year from the start of your course. We will never leave you hanging; Dr. Kempton is always available for support and guidance. With her 11 years of experience with clients all over the world she is ready to help you manage any case.
How much can I make as a pediatric sleep consultant?
Pediatric Sleep Consultants can earn $75-$150/hour or $350-$600 per case; depending on how much time you work, you earn between $35,000 to over $150,000 per year. How much you make depends on how much you choose to work and how many clients you decide to take on at any given time. You set your own rates and can increase them over time as you become more confident and skilled. There are people all over the world who need your help!
